In this discussion, philosopher Nina Power and I discuss her latest book, What Do Men Want? (2023), which focuses on the contemporary issues of masculine identity in the internet age. From the various movements internal to the “manosphere” (MGTOW, No Fap, Jordan Peterson) to the rise of religious belief and the relation between Christianity and secular society, we see the unique symptoms of male identity today. How are we to think through these symptoms and can we think again sexual difference?
