In this interview with philosopher Dr. Peter Sjöstedt-Hughes we discuss his paper “On the need for metaphysics in psychedelic therapy and research”. Throughout the discussion we focus on the three stages of psychedelic psychotherapy, including therapy, administration of the drug, and an integrative phase. Dr. Sjöstedt-Hughes wants us to pay more attention to what is referred to as the integrative phase in psychedelic psychotherapy, which may be aided with the long-term conceptual mediation of metaphysics and philosophical training.
