HISTORY, EXISTENCE, FREEDOM (via The Pèrelin Decline w/ Pae Veo)

In this interview with author Pae Veo, co-founder of The Stygian Society, we explore the relation between fiction and philosophy through his fictional philosophy work, The Pèrelin Decline. Some of the major themes that emerge in his work include the paradoxes of existence, amnesia and memory, the question of the rational accumulation of facts versus the truth of life, the real of nothingness, as well as the dimension of the unconscious as an unknown known. Throughout our discussion we use the narrative of The Pèrelin Decline as our anchor and try to situate different philosophical concepts in relation to this narrative.
