SCHELLING, WHITEHEAD: CROSSING THE THRESHOLD (w/ Matt Segal)

In this interview, Matthew Segal details his thesis that Schelling and Whitehead open us to a cosmo-theo-anthropic point of view or trinity of Cosmos-God-Human. Segal’s philosophy offers us access to the deepest reality, not through cognitive activity, but through the heart and faith, which he perceives to be a different stance than what we inherit in modern philosophy through Cartesian skepticism or doubt. From this we can experiment with cultivating a different form of philosophy, with a loving approach to wisdom and insight into the nature of reality that doesn’t only engage thinking, but also feeling and willing.
